Reservation Rates

University Centers rental rates reflect custom and standard reservations and are based on criteria that evaluates your organization status, space allocation, and services needed. Below are criteria to help you determine your organization status and eligibility for specific rates.

Student Organization Hosting a Free Event

  • Reservation made by Principal Member of registered student organization
  • Reservations can be made 6 months in advance
  • All funding comes from student organization accounts managed by Student Life Business Operations
  • All planning for the event is done by student members of respective student organization seeking reservation
  • Triton Activity Planner (TAP) must be completed per TAP guidelines
  • At least 50% of the attendees for the meeting/event must be UCSD Faculty, Staff or Students

  • If there is an admission charge to enter or participate in event, then rates will increase, and additional fees may apply

  • Planning for the event is done by student members of reserving student organization and department staff.
  • Students must be involved and present at planning meetings.
  • Triton Activity Planner (TAP) must be completed per TAP guidelines
  • At least 50% of the attendees for the meeting/event must be UCSD Faculty, Staff or Students
  • UCSD Catering must be used in most spaces at Price Center venue

  • Reservations for multi-day conferences (3 or more event days) may be made up to 2 years in advance at non-affiliate rates
  • Reservations for single or two-day meetings/events may be made after January 1 of the same year at department rates (unless event is a collaboration with a non-affiliate) 
  • All funding comes from departmental account via recharge
  • All planning for the event is done by faculty/staff of department
  • UCSD Catering must be used in most spaces at Price Center venue
